Tandaza FC is a University of Nairobi students’ initiative spearheaded by its founder and patron Changara Buyala.
We were created with a clear mandate of promoting football as a networking tool among the students and the alumni of the university, as well as fighting the many vices that face the student community including drugs and crime. The founder identified a need to encourage the gifted students to stay in school; to show them that it was possible to pursue both your football talent and your academic dream during and after the university years.
We were founded in 2013, registered with the government of Kenya as a football club under the Societies Act and affiliated to the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) as a member club. We started our football journey in 2014 and have steadily climbed up the football tiers in the country from the lowest level. Our target is to be playing in the top most league by 2021.
Every year since our formation, we have had an average of 7 active players graduating from the university and proceeding to be productive members of the society in various industries. Some of them have remained active members of the playing unit or assumed different roles in the management of the club.
