Wajiji Match Review

The harsh surface of Tumaini Primary ground has always been tough on us, our Sunday visit was no different; a barren stalemate after the final whistle.

We were largely unlucky not to come away with a win though, having dominated the entire 90 minutes of the game. We played with a much higher level of intensity upfront with Kangi and Gody joining most attacks to pile pressure after pressure on the opposing defense. An otherwise superb Olii had clear chances to bury a few goals but could not master the calmness needed to convert. Kangi, Atuulo, Adet and Kasee had chances as well but a combination of bad luck and a horrible surface ensured the opponent’s net remained untroubled.

From the match sheet, Walt, Byron and Ismail were missing, all due to a sudden illness.

Kolongo started between the post with Shem, Makori, Adet and Lefty manning the defence. Justo with a man of the match performance was in the midfield partnered with Gody with Kangi in front of them. The attack was headed by Atuulo with Kasee and Olii on the wings. Keegan and Marvo came on in the second half for Atuulo and Olii.
